Review: May 'Kawaii Box' ♥

Logo from their website.

It's the kawaii time of the month again! This month's Kawaii Box has arrived so let's dive in and see whats inside~
To find out more about Kawaii Box and subscribe to them yourself here is their website: http://www.kawaiibox.com/
How it arrived, this time the note was not handwritten but had a list of what was inside (which is very helpful and will use as it can be hard figuring what some things are)

No issues with shipping, took a bit longer than the last and I noticed on the Facebook page of some people complaining about tracking codes not working, but because my work has been a bit hectic I have had no time to even notice and it arrived as soon as I started to wonder where it was, so all is good.
The box was well sealed again, in fact had to dig out the scissors to open it, so everything arrived intact.
I also noticed that instead of the normal pink wrapping paper used before they now have one with their logo on, so looks like they are making a bit of money and going up in the world:

Hopefully this means better quality/more products?

WHAT I RECEIVED
Meiji petit gum, grape flavour.

I'm so happy to get another Japanese snack in the box and even happier that I actually like this one! Well it's nothing too special just some grape flavoured gum but as I said in the last review there's no where in my area to buy Asian foods so it's always nice to get some.
The grape flavour doesn't last long sadly but it's good for blowing bubbles with! Wish there was a bit more but that's just me being greedy.

Alpaca eraser and card holder.

Thank you Kawaii Box for feeding my alpaca addiction, seriously so happy when I seen these! The eraser will match the alpaca pencil case I received last month and it's also glittery which you can't tell from the photo which is always a nice bonus. He's so cute I'm too scared to actually use him heh.
The card holder is also so nice and high quality, I'm sure to clip it onto a bag and get some use out of it!

Neon bow hair band and chocolate bar comb.

When I first saw the rainbow thing I thought they were laces and got disappointed as I don't really wear shoes with laces but on the card it says it's a 'neon bow hair band' which makes sense when I picked it up but it's still not useful to me as it won't really fit with anything I wear, though I can give it away to someone a bit more colourful.
The chocolate shaped comb and mirror looks very handy and cute, however the plastic doesn't seem very hard and being someone with super thick hair the comb will probably get stuck in my hair. Will keep on display.

'Okitoki' notebook set and Panda coloured pen.

I'm so glad to get a notepad as I need one for a convention I'm going to this weekend, however the downside it's attached to a plastic stencil thing at the back. I'm sure I will find a way of detaching without destroying it. The notebook is lined and has a cute little 'Okitoki' character printed on the pages and some classic engrish: 'Our smile is 100% of the time.' I can't complain because it came with a pen. Speaking of pens...
ANOTHER PEN. This one has cute characters on it and in my favouite colour, Green! The ink is pink which means not suitable for work but nice nevertheless.

Rilakkuma mini letter set, Alpaca stickers and Banana mini plush.

More cute Rilakkuma things 0 complaints here, this has stickers and little note paper with Rilakkuma on a plane and some random French which probably makes no sense. I wish I wrote letters so I can actually use these but I will add them to my cute Rilakkuma things I will never actually use...
Ah another set of cute squishy stickers, this time even more alpacas, sheep and rabbits? Nice addition to the growing sticker collection.
And a banana cell phone charm which is super cute but as my stupid phone doesn't have a hole for these things I usually just display charms in my cute bits and bobs jar.

Harajuku crepe charm and doughnut squishy charm.

The crepe phone charm is lovely, I love crepes (sadly this is not edible) and the filling is hard but the wrap? is soft which is petty cool. As said before can't use as an actual phone charm but will add to the cute bits and bobs jar.
Now, I like my squishes and this looks cute but it's pretty bad quality As you can see in the photo there's parts coming off it, shoddy paint job and just generally looks like someone has already used it as it's not that squishy. Pretty disappointed with it really looks like a cheap hello kitty knock off :(

OVERALL

Too busy to notice the little hiccup the company had with tracking codes so I will say a very good service again. I much preferred this box to the last as it didn't have anything crafty which is completely useless to me but slightly disappointed with the bad quality squishy and the random neon hair band.  Yes there was a couple of things I won't actually use but I like to collect and display random cute things so it's all good for me. Also received a few more things than last time which is nice! Very happy with this and will be continuing my subscription~
Do you subscribe to any monthly boxes? What do you think of what I received?

  2. Ooh, cute stuff! I wouldn't be able to use that alpaca eraser, I would be too sad when it wore out. Love the kitty donut squishy too ^_^
