So I received my first ever monthly subscription box from 'Kawaii Box'. They send a mix of unique Japanese and Korean kawaii products to you monthly for $18.90 (per month) plus free postage worldwide! To find out more about them and subscribe to them yourself here is their website: http://www.kawaiibox.com/
I decided to subscribe to a 6 month plan so expect more of these in the future~
How it all arrived, with a nice little handwritten note.
I placed the 6th month plan order on the 22nd April and received my first box on the 14th May (they ship the boxes at the end of the month which is why I got the April one in the middle of May). Do note with this plan you pay for all the boxes upfront and not monthly.
No issues at all with the ordering process all fairly simple, website is useful with a FAQ section which answered all the questions I had in mind. There are 4 plans to choose from which is great for those who just want to test it out and not fully commit and an account section to keep track your plans.
Shipping was great, it was tracked which I enjoy as I like to know where my parcel is and firmly believe staring at a tracking page will make my parcel deliver faster haha. The box was well sealed and not damaged at all.
♥ WHAT I RECEIVED ♥
'Collon' biscuits, unknown flavour.
Korean glitter pots, 'Love Rabbit' stickers and cell phone stickers.
Rilakkuma notebook and polkadot pink bow hair clip.
♥ OVERALL ♥
'Collon' biscuits, unknown flavour.
Well the first thing that caught my eye are these unfortunate named biscuits. It's nice they included snacks in the box as I love trying new foods and usually Japanese snacks are expensive (There are no stores in my area that sell Asian snacks so have to order online which means high shipping costs). I have no idea what flavour these were as the packaging was all in Japanese bar the 'Collon' part but looking at the packaging I assumed green tea. Personally I did not like the taste of these and ended up giving them away which was a shame.
Korean glitter pots, 'Love Rabbit' stickers and cell phone stickers.
I'm not a massive crafty person so I have no real use for the glitter pots however I will note the packaging was not very good and the glitter went everywhere (you may notice it on the next photos). I might use them if I decide to do a crafty project but in the mean time pretty much useless to me, and it made a bit of a fabulous mess.
The stickers are so cute and are squishy, it has little rabbits, cats and other adorable rabbit cat like creatures. I'm not sure if this is an actual character or just random animals but I like them as a sticker collector.
The cell phone stickers are nice however I'm too scared to put anything on my phone in case I break it (done that too many times in the past) but I'm sure to find another use for them!
Rilakkuma notebook and polkadot pink bow hair clip.
I absolutely love Rilakkuma so anything with his face on is a win for me, this notebook is super cute and has pink pages. I won't use it as an actual notebook but will just display it somewhere in my room and admire it.
The bow hairclip is cute, it's nice that there are practical accessories in the box and it being pink and white can fit into most lolita wardrobes, including mine! It's made of hard plastic and seems durable so good job I can easily wear it with something.

Alpaca pencil case and pony pen.
I really love this pencil case! I have so many pens and pencils lying about so this will be super handy and also it's cute, I love the alpacas! No idea what 'Socile ovis aries' means but I like the little motto 'Life is simple, it's just not easy' (So true)
PEN I love pens (Need a life I know) I have to do a lot of paperwork in my job so I always have a pen handy~ It's cute and will try my best to not lose it as I enjoy losing pens.
Unknown character plush, macaroon pillbox and paw squishy.
I have no idea what or who the character plush is meant to be, but it's cute and green which is my favourite colour~ I'm sure he can sit on my shelf or attach it to something, any ideas for names?
Macaroons! I love macaroon themed things and this little pillbox? is lovely and nice to put little bits and bobs in or just to display somewhere. Also GREEN.
The squishy is really nice and good quality, I'm a big animal lover so it's very fitting. To my surprise it smelt of vanilla! I don't own any squishies yet but a nice start to my collection, I understand you usually get one in these boxes.
The service was flawless and I really liked most of the items received so will continuing the subscription. In all I got 11 items which is within the 10-15 which they state you will get and it seemed I got my moneys worth. I decided to subscribe to this service from hearing good reviews from others and it has not disappointed me, despite not liking the snack and getting something I probably won't use. I do recommend this to anyone who is into kawaii Japanese/Korean things so go for it! Looking forward to the May box which should arrive mid-June.

Ooh! I'd like to try these snacks, I love matcha (it was matcha whipped cream biscuits, according to what's written on the box). I actually like all the stuff you received... Maybe I should give this site a try! Thank you for the review. (• w •)/
ReplyDeleteAh thanks for letting me know what those biscuits were! I have actually tried matcha and wasn't a fan so that's probably why I didn't like the biscuits much, thank you! Give it a go! There is just a 1 month option if you are too afraid to commit ♡
